Who We Are

Crystal Small
Founder of Intentional Steps Ltd & Creator of the DAWWN Programme
With a passion for people development and a firm belief that who we are is how we lead, Crystal Small brings a wealth of expertise to her work as a Transformational Mindset Coach, Coaching Supervisor, and Trainer.
After a successful career in senior leadership roles with the Metropolitan Police Service, Crystal experienced firsthand the pressures of high-performance environments. It was this lived experience — coupled with her deep-rooted belief in the power of reflective practice — that led her to pursue coaching and ultimately found Intentional Steps Ltd.
Crystal’s Qualifications & Approach
Crystal holds a Diploma in Transformational Coaching from Animas Centre for Coaches and a Diploma in Coaching Supervision from the International Centre for Coaching Supervision. She is also a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
Her approach combines transformative theory, positive psychology, and psychodynamic concepts, helping individuals and teams develop greater self-awareness, uncover their values and beliefs, and align their actions with their authentic purpose.
Crystal works holistically, recognising that each client is resourceful and creative, and she believes coaching is about far more than achieving goals — it’s about nurturing authentic growth, resilience, and sustainable success.
The Birth of DAWWN
The DAWWN Programme was born from both Crystal’s professional passion for coaching and her personal experience navigating workplace wellbeing challenges.

Through 1:1 coaching, group coaching, and workshops, DAWWN helps businesses prioritise wellbeing in a way that boosts engagement, reduces burnout, and fosters environments where people and performance thrive together

Jess Andrews
Jess Andrews is a wellbeing and performance coach, mentor, and facilitator passionate about helping people build resilience, confidence, and momentum. She helps high performers, leaders, and teams ease the anxiety that comes from constant demands, create freedom and space for clarity, and build the mental strength to move forward with confidence and purpose.
Jess specializes in mental fitness, going beyond short-term wellbeing to help clients build inner strength, adaptability, and a mindset that delivers lasting results. Just like physical fitness, mental resilience requires training, consistency, and challenge. The work her clients do today isn’t just about feeling better in the moment—it’s about creating a framework for their future.
With nearly a decade of experience in a global youth-led leadership organization, Jess has coached and mentored seven cohorts of postgraduate professionals, leading teams and driving operations in high-pressure environments. Alongside her career, she has always made time for volunteering, supporting community projects both in the UK and abroad, including Brazil, South America, and Africa. These experiences have shaped her belief that growth isn’t about pushing through difficulty alone—it’s a natural process that unfolds with the right support, turning the unknown into an exciting space for discovery.
Beyond coaching, Jess lives and breathes adventure. She is a marathon runner, mountain climber, wild swimmer, and lover of the outdoors. Whether she’s running through London’s streets, hiking remote landscapes, or people-watching with a coffee in hand, she sees life as an exploration—one where real growth happens when people lean into challenge.
She takes the same approach with her clients. Coaching with Jess is like having a training partner—someone who runs alongside them, sees their potential, and helps them cultivate it. More than anything, she believes in saving a seat for people, offering a space where they feel seen, heard, and supported. Whether they’re navigating the boardroom or reflecting on a park bench, her role is to meet them where they are and help them move forward.
